Promix Amino Acid supplement is a unique chain linked natural equine amino acids supplement for equines and has been specifically formulated that together with fair feed (as natural as possible) and good grass, will supply all the amino acids that horses require to synthesize and utilize their protein intake. (not to confuse with protein in feed to provide energy (fizz)!
It is necessary for horses to obtain 12 essential amino acids daily for the body function correctly, as they are the building blocks of protein which are often the building blocks of the body and can be divided into two types:
Structural proteins - these are found in muscle, bones, connective tissue and to a much lesser extent in cell walls.
Functional proteins - these include hormones such as insulin and thyroid hormone, digestive enzymes, and antibodies.

DOSAGE
20 grams of Amino Acids both morning and night (40 grams per day), mixed into their regular feed, add a little cold water if necessary. The dosage prescribed is for the average-sized horse (500 kg) under normal working conditions.
Increased dosages are recommended for:
- Horses in very taxing work
- Horses in extended travel
- Pregnant and lactating mares
- Infirm, ill and injured horses
- Covering stallions
