I have been involved with horses since the age of 5, desperate to own a pony from a young age, lack of money left me with opting to loan many ponies until a pony called "Jet " the one eyed Welsh Section D found me, I felt after having him on loan for about a month and the then owner deciding to sell thought he would surely end up in a bad place so I just had to have him!
I currently own Tara and ex racehorse that I adopted in November 2010, from Equine Rescue & Rehoming, little did I know she had a surprise and is currently in foal which is very exciting!
My introduction to the holistic approach to horse healthcare started in 1996, where I started as a Bioflow Agent, keen to pass on the benefits I was seeing with magnetic therapy to other horse riders, but for me I need to learn the reasons, why and how magnets where helping all types of conditions before I am could hand on my heart say I would totally be happy to sell magnets so this started me on my path of own research and to develop my own Equimagnets Magnetic Therapy Range.
For me at this time it was important to have a good therapuetic magnetic therapy product range that worked, but was cost effective and if misued through misunderstanding would do no harm to the horses!
The discovery of Reiki came along in 2000, not quite sure why I wanted to do but just following my gut instinct took my Reiki 1 and Reiki 2 practitioners levels, have used Reiki on my own animals and family and experienced some amazing results! Although not actively going out to treat with Reiki I do find that it is most definitely incorporated on a daily basis with everything I do holistically.
In 2003 things moved on again with regards to my research and learning, my then 8 year son was diagnosed with servere dyslexia, in those days he had severe emotional problems that lead to out breaks of anger, I vowed to help him all I could and was lucky to be introduced to "hair analysis" via a prospective agent who was interested in selling my magnets! I saw positive changes happening to my son and most importantly it started to give me the answers as to why everything had happened! Unfortunately my health took a turn for the worst in 2004 probably due to the stress and worry of dealing with my sons problems and if I am honest the lack of support I was given in all areas of my life! I now look back and feel that stress had taken its tole on my life many times, but not being educated as to what I was experiencing with these very strange feelings and pains, would turn up at the doctors only to feel like a hypocondreact! Things became worse and quite nasty physical symptoms starting appearing, heat in top of head, speech slurring, and dropping items and dizziness, i was referred by my doctor eventually to see a specialist consultant. At the same time the lady who had carried out my sons hair anlaysis I had asked to also do my hair, thankfully she was able to discover what I felt a MRI scan could not! with her compassionate advice and recommendations I was fed up with feeling so awful and if I am honest scared for my health, so I felt I had no thing to lose and simply did everything she recommended with regards to the hair analsys, 6 weeks later I felt the best I had for a long time, not only physically but emotionally and mentally to!!
Having experienced these amazing life changes in such a short period of time, I not only felt totally passionate but really wanted everyone to be able to benefit from these amazing therapies, I just had to learn how to be able to do hair analysis, so training began...... from this point many things developed for me, the study into the benefits of flower essences on an emotional and mental level, the learning of EFT (emotional freedome technique) another amazing therapy that can release trauma at a cellular level in an instant!
However the desire for me, in a nutshell is to help, help is what I promised my son and I am passionate to do just this! Having seen everything work for him and the benefits they all provided, in the words of a 7 year old " if this helps me mummy , we can tell everybody and it can help them to!
