BILL LEVETT

I am a professional event rider, originally from Australia but I have been based in the UK since 1994. I came to the UK to pursue my lifetime ambition to succeed in my chosen career. As with all things equestrian it’s been a rocky road with many ups and downs – however I’m still going strong and love what I do.

I’ve been lucky enough to enjoy success in my career to date with top 10 placings at four star level – Burghley and Badminton. However I’m still chasing my dream of an Olympic or Championship team performance. I’m currently on the Australian Elite Squad of riders and ranked in the top 20 riders in the UK.

I hope to give you an insight in to the life and career of a professional event rider and all that’s involved in ‘Team Levett’ – the highs and lows, the funny moments, and the detail that goes in to helping me be at my best on competition days. Why not visit my website for regular updates! Bill

HAYLEY WARD

"I have been riding ever since I can remember and have come up through and still am a member of the pony club, I started off in the show ring up to county level and soon turned to prince Phillip cup where I was in the junior championship team for East Herts, this led me into Mounted Games with the pony who started my eventing bug; 'Zarek', who took me around numerous ODE's at speed and dressage was somewhat a challenge as he thought mounted games was much more fun! I then progressed through pony club on a rescue pony 'Noel' who took me through Novice Areas and then came Secret Dream who I have progressed on from Novice Pony Club areas right through Open Pony Club Areas and into Novice/CIC* Eventing.

I have worked in livery yards and a few top event yards after gaining a DDM in BTEC National Diploma in Horse Management, PC B and Lunging Test. I now work in a private yard and am focusing more on teaching and riding alongside to fund my eventing.

Last season I competed at Novice/CIC* events on Secret Dream, this season I will be making the move up to Intermediate on her as well as 2 more exciting rides, both ex racehorses who will be starting their eventing careers. With a lot of hard work put into all of my horses I am hoping 2011 will be the best season yet!

I am looking forward to working with Kerry and Equimagnets to keep the horses on top form with their expertise and experience in the holistic approaches and with the magnetic products."

Best Wishes

 KATIE GROVE

Katie is a young talented, ambitious event rider,  who started riding at the age of 8 at the local riding school, with her first pony  'Smokey Joe'  katie did pony club, mounted games & galloping around the forest!

Once Katie grew out of "Smokey" she moved  straight into unaffiliated Jumping with her 15.3 horse called Abbie, Abbie and Katie gained much experience and progessed onto jumping affiliated. Katie after leaving school went onto to work as a groom for a professional Show Jumper, gaining much equestrian knowledge Katie then went on to work for a large equestrian centre which she managed for a short period of time.

Deciding to take  time out to travel, she went to Australia for 15 months, where she unexpectedly landed a grooms job for a polo player this was a totally "new" experience and she felt a little out of her comfort zone!  But surprising herself she actually found it quite enjoyable, so much so that when she returned to England, she worked as a groom for an English polo player.

Katie's passion was to compete herself so started looking for a potential ride, Katie has currently teamed up with Charlie, where they have gone from strength to strength buidling up a solid partnership together, with this now in place they are both concentrating on their eventing skills.

Katies goals for the 2011  Event season is to gain more qualifications in BE90 & BE100 so that they can compete in the Grassroots regionals and hopefully qualify for the championships which are held at the famous Badminton Horse Trials in 2012!

" I am really excited to be working with Equimagnets for next season, I am really looking forward to using their products, and using Kerry's holistic knowledge to help keep Charlie & me on the winning streak and with lots of hard work from both Charlie and me I'm sure we will achieve this and much more! Watch this space!!!"

          Best Wishes
